  • Cover your Hands & Approach the Fire: Fold the blanket around your hands & approach the fire cautiously but confidently. Keep a safe distance, and do not compromise your safety.

  • Cover the Fire: Gently and carefully place the fire blanket over the flames. Ensure that the entire fire is covered to cut off the oxygen supply.

  • Press Down Firmly: Use slight pressure to press down on the fire blanket, sealing off the fire's access to oxygen. This action helps smother the flames effectively.

  • Leave in Place: Once the fire is covered, leave the fire blanket in place for a sufficient duration to ensure the flames are fully extinguished. Avoid removing it prematurely.
